Avengers: Endgame is Terrible
Переглядів 959 тис.2 роки тому
Avengers: Endgame is a deeply flawed film. It's the product of misplaced narrative priorities, and not just those of its creators. This film is what happens when writing is beholden to spectacle, and fan service is held in higher regard than good storytelling. I actually really love the Loki series as a contained series, especially now after the second season, but yeah... I can admit that it being connected to the rest of the MCU makes a lot of its plot points not make sense...

  • @demontamerbf18
    @demontamerbf18 11 днів тому

    When I heard Thanos and the Infinity Stones were the center of the MCU I read the Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet comics and I fell in love with the concept of the Stones and Thanos as a character, in the MCU he has a completely different motivation to erase half of the people in Earth but I loved the fact he had a motivation that didn't come from just being evil. So my disappointment was immesurable and my day was ruined when I found out they reduced him to your average "I will destroy the universe and reshape it on my own image" villain. It affected me so much that I stopped consuming anything Marvel for 3 years. Finally I decided 2023 was the year to go back because of GotG 3, and I loved it, and so I found some videos saying how this movie is actually pretty bad to close this chapter of my life and here I am. It wasn't just the destruction of the character, at the time I also hated that they killed my favorite superhero Iron Man and how everyone thought it was the second coming of Christ.

    So...this aged a bit weirdly. Loki actually does matter, but not for the reasons anyone would have thought. Loki season 2 basically explains that the entire Loki series was just the catalyst for the multiverse, not the reason it doesn't exist. I saw various videos saying that the Loki series took agency from these characters, and I am sympathetic to that viewpoint, since without season 2 of Loki, it looks that way. I never had that interpretation, but seeing season one, it seems that way. Canonically, it's different. Season two basically invites the idea that the multiverse always existed and that the TVA was an anomaly, not the rule. So if we think about things 4th dimensionally (Ala Back to the Future), the TVA existing under Kang/He who remains was a separate timeline to the main MCU. In reality, the TVA (the physical organization) was the anomaly all along. It all leads to the multiverse and everything being about free will. I don't fault this video for having a different opinion, since season 2 of l Loki didn't exist, but Loki (the series) is actually integral to the FREE WILL of these characters, not the other way around.

    So much of this can be explained. if we are ignoring loki as a series. every decision creates a new timeline. Loki's decision to pickup the cube and dip created a new timeline. taking an infinity stone out of a timeline? choice. and it creates a new timeline THAT IS BAD. I haven't finished watching but also Nebula was obviously glitching, but she wanted to warn Nat and Clint because she prolly thought Thanos was finna go Vormir cos she remebered that Thanos had absolutely no idea where the Soul Stone is. It's a key plot point in infinity war. but as soon as his ship comes idk wtf she was doing tbf she should dipped It's very clearly stated that thanos is incredibly powerful in GOTG:Vol 1. even after ronin takes the stone people still tell him that's a bad idea

    I LOVE how you put Terminator when the saga has 2 time travel theories Altern branch a future that could or not happen (T 2) Time loop, the father of John Connor is Kyle Reese meaning he always travels to the past to create the perfect Soldier meaning the future already happen so you change nothing And of course the third theory about the time always CORRECTS himself something like TVA but not that obvious meaning always has a Saviour of making being original John Connor, John Connor time travel or the mexican girl from the last movie 😂

  • @Morfe02
    @Morfe02 22 дні тому

    The big problem of the movie: The movie stops to be a sitcom, i dont mind Rocket talking with any avenger if this continues the plot But no is just a pause to make jokes on Thor or talking about time That is the "flow" of the movie and literally Thanos Ironman and Cap are the only ones who affect the plot by his actions The secondary are secondary even if Hulk saves the universe he is just a Joke a CGI secondary Which is bad because even Hawkeye is very important

  • @Travis-tq7vr
    @Travis-tq7vr 24 дні тому

    A little late to this obviously 24:49. What Hulk is saying is, when you go into the past, let’s say to the year 1980, the 2020 version of you is now your conical past. It’s set in stone. Since you went back into the year 1980 and are there now, nothing can be changed from 1980 till 2020. You can only experience time in one direction, causing 1981 to be the equivalent of 2021 if you never went back. It’s a line to try and remove the grandfather paradox, it’s trying to show that time is a loop. At least for you. You can’t go back and kill your grandfather before you were born because if you did, it would have already happened. And even if you did, you wouldn’t poof from existence, your time keeps moving EDIT: don’t get me wrong. It’s a dumb line and the rest of the film doesn’t follow these rules but that’s what he’s saying. The line makes sense but the wording is terrible.

    Alienware Alpha is a PC, the reason why they call it a console is just for marketing purposes in order to justify the customer's decision to buy it. In otherwords, marketing it as a console drives sales up, and your braincells down for having to think it's actually a console when in reality, it's a pc. I've lost braincells already... don't tempt me. Love ya Fringy, you're awesome. You're the voice of reason in my head.

  • @jvbutalid8316
    @jvbutalid8316 Місяць тому

    Look, I kinda do have interest in the medical field, and this vid got me thinking, man, the Snap could mess up the Earth in truly many ways. For example, the healthcare system. We don't know how the Snap distributes its victims. I don't think it perfectly halves out all life in the universe. It may take away some lives from some place A and take away too many from some place B. Now, let's go back to the healthcare system. If it perfectly halves out all lives, sure, half the medical staff remains, and half the patients remain. But not all hospitals can enjoy that, since some of them always get filled with new patients. In no time, half the staff has to deal with full capacity amounts of patients. And remember, we got hospitals in less-advanced countries that don't give enough benefits to their staff. You can only imagine the burnout of the staff. They'll quit, dude. Good luck for those patients in severe conditions that they need not only extensive life support but a lot of nursing action to stay alive. They'll die, too. And for the patients that want to go to a hospital which had recent sharp decrease in staff, good luck getting attended to in time your condition acts up. Many will die due to delayed treatment, too. On the brighter side, in countries with too many old people compared to young, if too many of their old people died, these countries now have a burden significantly lifted, since they have less people to pay without nothing in return (unless these elderly worked a lot, too). Moreover, if life here is defined to include microbes, good luck to our gut. We need microbes to aid in our digestion, dawg. If the Snap killed a whole lot of them, we can't guarantee if we properly absorbed what we eat anymore, and we could die from just that. On the bright side, food might spoil over a longer duration, and surgical tools can remain sterile for a longer duration as well. In the realm of epidemics, say goodbye to natural immunity. If a whole lot of microbes get killed off worldwide, there'd be way less for us to train our immune systems to fight against just by sheer exposure. Plague Inc is gonna play in real time now.

    I'm sorry, but Natasha's death was AWFUL. Instead of trying to convince the other why they had more to live for--and why they should push them over--they just got into a petty little argument by going, "I WANNA DO IT!!, NO I WANNA DO IT!! NO, I WANNA DO IT!! ME!! ME!! ME!!" Also, just like this movie, you completely forgot to mention something: Captain Marvel! Infinity War's post-credits scene has Nick Fury paging her before being dusted away; this implied that she was not coming to the MCU, but that she was going to have an important role...and yet she's BARELY in the movie--the only meaningful thing she did was destroy Thanos' ships. If they had just dusted her along with half the universe--as well as had someone else like Thor rescue Tony and Gamora from space--Endagme would NOT change.

    They could've just had teenagers break in to steal stuff, and one of them starts pressing random buttons on the van's control panel. That could be a more believable way to bring Scott back. Or the way I prefer: have one of the Avengers find out about Lang's van with a Quantum Tunnel in the back, have them bring it to Avengers HQ, and maybe Bruce is able to bring Scott back that way. You could probably avoid the five year jump this way. Also I've just realised that the Avengers could've just gone back to 2012 for five of the six stones. The Time, Space, and Mind Stones were in New York at the same time. There's no reason to assume that the Power Stone wouldn't still be on Morag in 2012. The orb seems to have been on Morag for quite some time before Quill retrieved it in 2014. Then the Soul Stone would still be on Vormir because Thanos hasn't discovered it yet. So there's five out six stones in one journey. Then they should go to Knowhere and steal the Reality Stone from the Collector sometime between Thor 2 and Infinity War. I don't know why the Avengers think they absolutely have to suck the red goop out of Jane in 2013, when they could just nab it in it's stone form from The Collector. Personally I'm all for Captain Marvel getting stuck in the past. That means we wouldn't have to worry about her in the MCU going forward.

      100% agreed my dude. Anyone with a proper mindset would easily be able to make a plan as simple as this, especially considering the Avengers literally have experience with all of those stones, knowing where they are, why make their trip so much more challenging.

    This video is important. I can't not nitpick this nitpick though: Hulk before he put on the glove says "Everyone comes home safe." The word "safe" covers alot of ground i think.

      Actually watch it, then go rewatch the film. After watching this video, them flaws drastically stick out. In fact, they currently stand out in the failing mcu films following endgame. The film butchers characters arcs, story arcs, and even it's own principles, some of which are set up WITHIN the same film, and yet they're completely tossed aside. Whether you agree or not, actually watch the video. If you don't watch this video, yet waste time arguing back, it just spells out fear of learning the truth.

    The movie is rushed. They should somehow stitch the movie into 2 parts, so they have some time to carefully flesh out the story more and gets deeper dive of the remaining characters, what their lives look like after the snap and how they would redeem themselves from the guilt of failing to save half of the population. That would make better build up and create more impact to the final act.
